Alexandra Foto Social Programme

Alexandra Josephine Foto “Alex” (1995-2014), Colombian-Canadian, was a graduate of Sir Frederick Banting Secondary School and was an exceptional student and cheerleader at the University of Waterloo, where she was entering into her second year in International Development. Alexandra had a passion for diving, running, reading, gymnastics and fundraising. She was dedicated to helping children around the world and was sponsoring a child in the Dominican Republic. Alex was a World Vision Ambassador, a leader and organiser. She travelled to Kenya, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Brazil on volunteer missions. Alex assisted with various events including the “30 Hour Famine” and was a great inspiration to all who knew her. She was the deeply loved, admired and adored daughter of Pat and Vito Foto, loving niece of Gloria Lorza, the founding Director of KSI Bogota. Alex died on August 7th, 2014 after colliding with a truck while riding her bicycle in her home town in London, United Kingdom.
